  5. Description: Uses extra features found in SVGA video cards (high pixel
  6.              clocks) to enhance Linux text modes independently of what the
  7.              BIOS can do. It is configured with an XF86Config-like file, and
  8.              allows setting of pixel clock, H/V timings, font size, cursor
  9.              size, etc. Enables using the video card AND the monitor to
  10.              their full potential in textmode, as with the XFree86 X-server.
  11.              Current support includes S3, ET3000 and ET4000, Cirrus Logic,
  12.              Trident, Western Digital, ATI (and MACH32), Video7 (Headland),
  13.              Avance Logic (ALI), Oak Technology (OTI), SiS, RealTek, ARK,
  14.              NCR, Genoa (GVGA) and MX cards.
  15.              It can also use an external clock program and supports all S3
  16.              clock chips from XFREE 3.1.2. Features automatic font loading,
  17.              monitor definition (H/V frequency limits), on-the-fly screen
  18.              resizing, cursor shape definition, ...
  19.              Also includes: palette changer, pixelclock probe, text/graphics
  20.              mode grabber, VGA register hacking tool, and a multi-chipset/
  21.              clockchip ClockProg for X that supports ALL chipsets and
  22.              clockchips from SVGATextMode.
  23.              Binaries for Linux-ELF and DOS included for SVGATextMode and
  24.              grabmode.
